Don Jazzy expresses pride in Davido as he recounts his first meeting with him, calls him his mentor

Music executive, Don Jazzy has expressed pride in singer, Davido following a video of him describing Don as his mentor.

In an interview with YouTuber, Tayo Aina, Davido spoke about his early music career, his growth in the industry, and his first meeting with his mentor, Don Jazzy.

Davido had described his first meeting with Don Jazzy as amazing. According to him, meeting Don Jazzy felt like meeting “looking at Jesus”.

The singer went on to describe the music executive as his mentor.

“Don Jazzy was my mentor, I remember the first day that I saw him, I thought I was looking at Jesus. But it was amazing”.

Reacting to it, Don Jazzy expressed pride in Davido’s accomplishments.

He revealed that he is always motivated by Davido’s work ethic despite his level of success and wealth.

“And that’s how life is @davido Now I look at all you have achieved and I am super proud of you. Even with all that success and wealth I look at your work ethic and I am highly motivated. I’m glad that as a mentor I haven’t let you down too. We thank GOD. More blessings bro”.

Replying him, Davido hailed him. He wrote, “Baba mi”.

Davido grateful as he celebrates 12 years of releasing his first single, Back When

A few weeks back, Davido had celebrated 12 years of releasing his first single.

Recall that Davido made his debut in the music industry with his hit song, Back When, which featured Naeto C.

How time flies, now it’s been 12 years since he released the song.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Davido expressed gratitude to his creator for the journey so far as he declared himself God’s child.

“12 years ago today I dropped my first single…. God’s child”.

Don Jazzy celebrates Mavin’s 11th anniversary

Similarly, Don Jazzy celebrated Mavin Records’ 11 years of existence with an emotional note.

The music executive recalled how his record label kept growing from strength to strength, breaking boundaries and impacting lives.

He appreciated his fans, brand partners, and well-wishers who supported the record label with love and made it one of the best.

He also acknowledged his signees who are doing well to represent the brand across the globe.
