*As Christians joins Muslims pray for peace, love, unity at praying ground

As Muslims all over the world celebrates 2023 Sallah, some Christian Clergies joined thousands of Muslims at Murtala Mohammed square Kaduna praying ground led by former Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, to pray for peace and unity in Nigeria.
The Christian clergies joined their Muslims faithful at the praying ground with the aim to pray to strengthened peace, love, unity and religious tolerance among the adherence of different faith based organization in the country.
The General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry Pastor Yohanna Buru who led a delegations of the Christians to the Eid IL kabir praying ground Wednesday said it was the second time they’ve come to the central mosque to join Muslims to pray for peace and stability in the country .
He said such occasions provide Golding opportunity for Christians to meet, dialogue and interact with other faith to promote interreligious tolerance, peace stability and mutual understanding.
Buru said, during Christmas celebration, thousands of Muslims which include (Sunni, shiat and Tijjaniya sect) from 19 northern states of Nigeria usually join him and other Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ to promote peace and unity.
He said, the mosque committee invited him for the second time to join them, and this time he came with some Christians, with the sole aims of promoting peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance.
Pastor Buru who delivered lectures shortly after the prayers by the Muslims, stressed the need for both the adherence of the two religions to imbibe the culture of promoting peace and harmony
“We must remember that we are one family Under God and worshipping the same God ”
“We all have holy books sent from one God (Qur’an and bible). We are family of Adam and Eve and hence the need to live in peace and harmony with all of us, irrespective of his tribe, culture, race, color, regions and continent”, he said.
He called on all Nigerians both home and abroad to embrace peace, unity and love a among one another, saying the country can achieve its full potential if Nigerians put aside their differences and work together to build a stronger, more united nation through peace building.
“We felicitate with sultan of sokoto Alhaji sa ‘ad Abubakar,sheick Dahiru bauchi, sheick Ibrahim yakubu elzazzaky sheick Ahmed Mahmud gumi, and all Islamic scholars round the world on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
“Once again, we wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration and pray that Almighty God will continue to bless our nation with peace, unity, and prosperity”, he added.
Responding, Sheick Halliru marayu one of the top Islamic scholars that attended the event expressed happiness over the visit by some Christians and pray that Muslim and Christian should try to always live in peace and harmony
Similarity one of the committee member of the Eid IL kabir ground preparatory organizer Wallan Sunusi Surajo said Kaduna state is leading in the act of promoting peace and religious tolerance through out the country.

It was also observed that former Governor of central bank and the emir of kano, Sunusi Lamido Sunusi is the one that lead the prayer at the Eid IL kabir ground in Kaduna.
Some of other personalities that attended the prayer include former Governor of Kaduna, Alhaji Ramadan Yero, top Islamic scholars, and traditional title holders respectively.
