‘E shock me’, Burna Boy reacts to Tinubu’s proposed military intervention in Niger

Nigerian music sensation Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, has criticized President Bola Tinubu in response to Tinubu’s proposal for military intervention in Niger Republic amid the ongoing coup in the Sahelian nation.

Tinubu had recently written to the Senate seeking support for military intervention against the military junta in Niger Republic, but his request was rejected.

During an Instagram live session with his associate, Mannny, Burna Boy suggested that Tinubu should focus his efforts on addressing the fuel scarcity issue in Nigeria caused by the sudden removal of subsidies in May.

“Investigate what’s happening. They say we’re entering a war like this [laughs]. Fuel isn’t available, yet you want to go to war. How will you even get to the battlefield? Are you going to use… what do they use with those generators? Gas generators. It’s surprising. Nigeria’s problems never cease,” remarked the Grammy Award-winning artist in Nigerian pidgin.
