Nigerian Senator Plans Meeting with Dedicated Davido Fan Who Cycled to Lagos, Vows to Sponsor Music Journey

By Daniel Edu

Emmanuel Udende, the Senator representing Benue Northeast, has expressed admiration for the determination of Emmanuel Myam, known as Emmiwuks, a devoted follower of Nigerian musician Davido. Emmiwuks embarked on a remarkable bicycle journey from Benue State to Lagos to meet his music idol.

Although Davido had initially offered to send a gift in response to Emmiwuks’ journey, he requested that the fan turn back due to his absence in Lagos. However, Emmiwuks remained steadfast in his pursuit, asserting that he has a special gift for the “Unavailable” singer.

Senator Udende took to his official Facebook page to commend Emmiwuks’ unwavering dedication and announced his intention to host him at his office within the National Assembly once the lawmakers reconvene after their recess. Udende also pledged support for Emmiwuks’ music career and encouraged him to represent the entire Benue State as an exemplary ambassador when he ultimately meets Davido.

He expressed, “In recent days, I’ve come across numerous updates on social media platforms showcasing the passion and determination of a young man who aspires to meet and present a gift to his music idol and Afrobeat sensation, David Adeleke (Davido).

“I want to extend my applause to Master Emmanuel Myam, also known as Emmiwuks, who hails from Ukum Local Government Area in Benue State, for embarking on this bicycle journey from Benue to Lagos to meet Davido, the Afrobeat superstar.

“As part of my commitment to encouraging young individuals to chase their aspirations, I want to support Master Emmanuel in his chosen path, which I understand is music.

“I intend to invite him to my office at the National Assembly once he returns from Lagos and our recess is concluded, so that we can explore how I can contribute to his success in his chosen field.

“I urge you to represent our constituency and the broader Benue state proudly when you encounter the music icon.”

This heartwarming tale showcases the connection between a passionate fan and a supportive public figure, highlighting the power of determination and mentorship in the pursuit of dreams.
