BREAKING: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment on Appeals Against Oborevwori’s Election Victory

The Supreme Court has held back its judgment on appeals lodged by the candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Social Democratic Party, and Labour Party, challenging the outcome of the Delta state governorship election.

After the Court of Appeal in Lagos upheld Sheriff Oborevwori’s victory in the gubernatorial election, dismissing the appeals filed by the opposition candidates and their respective parties, the matter reached the Supreme Court.

Sheriff Oborevwori secured 360,234 votes in the election, emerging as the winner against his closest rival, Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Party, who garnered 240,229 votes. Ken Pela of the Labour Party claimed the third position with 48,027 votes, while Great Ogboru of the All Progressives Grand Alliance secured the fourth spot with 11,021 votes.

Further details on the Supreme Court’s judgment are anticipated.
