Benue sports commissioner resolves swan fracas, sets electoral committee

Commissioner of youths, sports and creativity, in benue state , hon terkimbi ikyange, has amicably resolved the crisis that was rocking the state chapter of the sports writers association of nigeria, swan, which resulted in the emergence of the two factions.

It could be recalled that mr ikyange, had directed all the factions to suspend their planned elections to enable him intervene in their long time differences for faster development.

During an extraordinary meeting of the two factions, which was precided over by the commissioner of sports, the following resolutions were arrived at to ensure that the association progresses.

“That the excos of the two factions have been dissolved, that the electoral committees set up by the previous excos have also been dissolved, a three member committee have been set up, that the committee have been given one month to conduct election”, among others.

Members of the association unanimously agreed to abide by the terms of the agreement and promised to corporate with the commissioner and the electoral committee to ensure the smooth implementation of the agreement.

In his remarks, the commissioner of youth, sports and creativity, pledged to ensure smooth conduct of swan election, even as he assured that he will use his office to integrate the new exco fully into the scheme of things of ministry and benue state government.
