Troops Neutralise Terrorist, Recover Arms and Ammunition in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army announced on Thursday that troops engaged in counter-terrorism operations in Kaduna State successfully neutralised a terrorist. The operation intercepted bandits who were in transit to unleash mayhem along Mallum Forest.

In a statement on its social media platform, the Army detailed that the troops, acting on credible intelligence, strategically positioned themselves along the terrorists’ route. Upon sighting the terrorists on motorbikes emerging from Mallum Forest through an alternate path, the troops engaged them with heavy fire. One terrorist was neutralised, while others fled into the nearby forest, preventing a potential attack on innocent civilians.

The statement further disclosed that the troops recovered several items, including:

– One AK-47 rifle
– Five AK-47 rifle magazines
– 18 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition
– 19 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition
– Two motorbikes
– One Techno phone
– Head warmers
– Face masks
– A magazine jacket

The Nigerian Army added that they have intensified their presence in the general area to maintain security and prevent any further threats.
