Hunger: Kaduna Man begs to drop cell phone for 5 cups of moi-moi

By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

Apparently owning to severity of the economic hardship and hunger in the state, an under 25 years old adult person has offered his cell phone for five cups of Moi-Moi, to a woman seller, promising to payback later and collect the phone.

Funny however, the seller openly rejected the plea and refused to give the moi-moi to the hungry ridden looking young man who later left saying “Let me go and sleep in hunger”.

The ugly trend and sympathetic scenario happened in a place called Jaba road in U/Boro area of Sabon Tasha in Kaduna state, on Monday in an evening
side joint, according to many eyewitnesses.

Asked why she refused to grant the boy’s pleads, the woman seller bearing Mama Imayo said she’s is afraid of misplacing the phone or lost it before the owner come back for it.

She said ” Nooo! I refused to give himoo because, what if the phone missed or stolen from me before she come back, especially that i did not know him. So, he said let me go and sleep in hunger and sluggishly left.
According to her, the boy seems to have also taken alcoholic drinks from somewhere, and came to her to asked for moi -moi with his phone,m; why, she queried.
