Kogi Poly Rector Lauds Gov. Ododo Over New Minimum Wage Approval in Kogi

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has praised Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for approving a new minimum wage of N72,500 for civil servants in the state.

In a press release signed by the Director of Public Relations and Protocols, Uredo Omale, and distributed to journalists in Lokoja, the Rector also commended the governor for implementing the Kogi State Health Insurance Scheme initiative for workers.

Professor Usman described Governor Ododo’s actions as historic, noting that Kogi State is among the few states in Nigeria to implement the minimum wage. He emphasized that the approval of N72,500 as the new minimum wage is a significant development that reflects the administration’s commitment to prioritizing workers’ welfare.

On behalf of the management and staff of the institution, the Rector expressed gratitude for the support extended to Kogi State Polytechnic, particularly amidst the current economic challenges. He stated that Kogi State workers, especially those at the Polytechnic, would forever appreciate the love and attention shown by the governor.

Professor Usman praised the impressive performance of Governor Ododo and reiterated the unwavering support of the institution’s management for the administration’s success. He also acknowledged the steadfast dedication of Kogi workers, particularly those in Kogi State Polytechnic, and encouraged them to recommit to delivering exceptional service.
