The Executive Chairman of Langtang South Local Government, Hon. Nanfa Alhassan Nbin, yesterday swore into office his Deputy, Hon. Julcit Musa, and the Council Secretary, Hon. Nanman Luka Domtau.

Administering the oath of office and allegiance, Chief Magistrate of Mabudi Magistrate Court, Hon. Mathias M. Mensem, urged the newly sworn-in officials to uphold their promises and give full support to the Council Chairman in order to drive the progress Langtang South needs.

In his speech, Executive Chairman Nbin reaffirmed his commitment to working for the people, emphasizing that it was time to implement the “bridge-building” slogan he is known for. He stated that there was no more room for lengthy speeches—only action and hard work.

He called on the management staff and the entire workforce to stay committed to their various responsibilities, stressing that it would no longer be “business as usual.” Nbin warned that any negligence would be dealt with accordingly.

In addition, Hon. Nanfa Nbin commissioned his Chief of Staff, Dr. Lucky Fadam, Senior Special Adviser on Special Duties, Jingnap Princewill Selnan, and Chief Press Secretary, Butko Bako Iliya. He emphasized that they must justify the confidence placed in them by giving their best in service.

A statement signed by Butko Bako Iliya, the media aide to the council boss, noted that in his goodwill message, PDP Zonal Chairman of Plateau South, Hon. Elder Simon Domle, urged all appointees to rally around the Chairman to help him meet the aspirations of the people.

The statement also highlighted the oath-taking ceremony, which was officiated by Chief Magistrate Hon. Mathias M. Mensem.

Earlier, upon arrival, the Chairman paid a courtesy visit to Ponzhi Byan, HRH C.V. Durven, where he received blessings, wise counsel, and encouragement from the royal father.

Also in attendance was the Liaison Officer to the Governor, Hon. Rims Samson Nimchank.
