P-Square Feud Rekindles as Rudeboy Claims Ownership of Mr. P’s New Song

By  Milcah   Tanimu

The long-standing feud between iconic music duo P-Square has reignited, with Rudeboy (Paul Okoye) asserting ownership of Mr. P’s (Peter Okoye) new single, “Winning,” released today, November 8, 2024.

Mr. P recently debuted a 2-pack EP featuring tracks “Winning” and “Attention.” However, Rudeboy publicly claimed that “Winning” was originally his song, intended for his own album set for release next year. On Instagram, Rudeboy shared a demo of “Winning,” accusing his brother of using his song “word for word” and calling out the producer involved. He explained that he had submitted the song as part of a six-track contribution for a P-Square reunion album that was ultimately scrapped.

The feud has grown increasingly public over the years, with fans and industry figures urging the brothers to reconcile. Ironically, “Winning”—a song seemingly about unity—has now become a flashpoint for fresh accusations of intellectual theft. Mr. P has yet to address Rudeboy’s claims regarding the song.

Earlier this year, the brothers took their conflict to social media in a heated exchange involving their older brother and former manager Jude, stemming from a past financial dispute with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Despite attempts to mediate, the siblings remain at odds, with their feud impacting both their music and family ties.
