Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State on Tuesday charged NYSC Corps members deployed to the state to be an epitome of a true Nigerian, willing and able to show good conduct in everything they do or say during their service year.

Oborevwori stated this at the Terminal Parade/Closing Ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 11 Orientation Course held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of the State.

The governor was represented at the ceremony by the State Commissioner for Youth, Mr. ThankGod Harry Trakiriowei.

Oborevwori urged corps members to embrace patriotism in everything as well as leave indelible records of inspiring others to be committed to national ethos.

Governor Oborevwori who formally declared the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 11 Orientation Course Closed encouraged Corps members to deepen their commitment to the skills acquired and leverage them for personal and national development.

“As you proceed to your primary assignments, I urge you to contribute meaningfully to the development and transformation of our rural communities.

“Embark on projects that address the immediate needs of the people and approach your service with zeal,

commitment, patience, love and empathy. Let your presence in these communities bring about positive change.

“On our part, we will continue to meet your welfare needs. We will also continue to recognize and reward outstanding corps members who distinguish themselves during the service year”, governor stressed.
