Kaduna Gov Sani Signs Development Framework with Gates Foundation at UNGA

By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has signed the Kaduna Mutual Accountability Framework (KaMAF) with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Kaduna, the governor described the agreement as a major milestone in the state’s development drive. He said the framework is designed to strengthen healthcare systems with a focus on primary healthcare, maternal and child health, and disease prevention.

According to him, KaMAF will also support agricultural transformation through sustainable practices and improved market access. He added that the initiative will help build reliable data systems, promote transparent budgeting, and enhance household empowerment—particularly for women—through financial and digital inclusion.

Governor Sani emphasized that these efforts aim to lay the foundation for an inclusive and resilient Kaduna State.
