The Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO) Football Directorate has appointed coordinators for North Central states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) ahead of its 2026 National Football Tournament scheduled for April.The appointments, announced in Lafia by North Central Zonal Coordinator of TSO and Chairman of Nasarawa United FC, Solomon Babanjah, are aimed at organising zonal eliminations leading to the national finals.
According to the list released, Danmusa Mohammed Oweh will coordinate activities in Nasarawa State, Philip Ter Nongu in Benue State, and Gideon Atu Izang in Plateau State.Others named are Shaibu Yakubu (Niger), Muhammad Abdullahi (Kogi), Dele Abubakar (Kwara), and Patrick Ngwaogu (FCT).
Babanjah said the coordinators will oversee implementation of the football project in their states and liaise with clubs to assemble teams for the zonal playoffs.
He added that beyond the competition, the initiative will include coaching clinics, refereeing courses and football administration workshops to strengthen grassroots football structures.
In a statement signed by TSO Media Representative Eche Amos, the organisation said the project is designed to promote community participation and national unity through sports development.Dates and venues for the zonal playoffs and national finals are expected to be announced.
