Gov Otti gets Statesman Restoration and Security Award at NCCC’s National Prayer Summit

By Ogenyi Ogenyi.Uyo

Governor Alex Otti has been formally honoured with the prestigious “Statesman Restoration & Security Award,” by the Nigerian Christian Civil Chaplain Corps in recognition of his spiritual leadership, peace, governance and visionary commitment to civic order and the security of Abia State.

The recognition took place at an event hosted by the Abia State Security Prayer Summit, marking a pivotal moment in the spiritual and physical restoration of the region.

Otti recieved the award hrough CSP Evongwa, who delivered a heartfelt message of solidarity and strategic cooperation.with Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa in attendance.

The summit reached a spiritual crescendo during a prophetic session led by Chaplain Daniel Joe Alimi, Corps Commanding Officer of the Nigeria Christian Civil Chaplain Corps, where he extracted deep mysteries regarding Nigeria’s sovereignty as a sovereign nation under God. He emphasized that Nigeria was not an accident of history but a divine project established by God for a prophetic purpose in Africa and the nations of the world.

He declared that Nigeria shall remain indivisible, sovereign, and aligned with divine purpose, and that no force of instability shall prevail over the nation. He further prayed that God would uproot every foundation of insecurity, fear, corruption, and division, and establish a new season of peace, development, and unity in Abia State.

Chaplain Daniel provided a divine interpretation of Abia’s identity as a territory with a divine covenant and destiny. He stated that Abia carries a spiritual identity that must be preserved through righteousness, justice, unity, and godly leadership, revealing that Abia has Biblical/Hebrew roots as “Abijah,” which translates to “Yahweh is my Father,” signifying a land set apart and blessed by God.

He further issued a decree: “The walls are rebuilt, the foundations are restored, and the land dwells in peace.” He declared the end of violence, criminality, and political bitterness; the enthronement of peace and economic stability; the restoration of security and public trust; and the healing of communities across the 17 Local Government Areas.

The security and ecumenical unity event underscored a “Security-First” approach and was attended by heads of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), among others, alongside Commanding Officers of the Nigeria Christian Civil Chaplain Corps from Anambra, Enugu, and Imo States.

The leadership of Chaplain Dr. Joel Kelechi Ezirim, Commanding Officer, Abia State Command and Venerable in the Anglican Communion, who also serves as Registrar of Trinity Theological College, was instrumental in coordinating the apostolic assembly.

During the vote of thanks, Chaplain (Venerable) Gerald Ugochukwu Nwabuisi, Rector of Trinity Theological College, commended the selfless sacrifice of the Corps Commanding Officer for his tireless dedication to “Operation Jesus Over Nigeria,” despite the absence of official remuneration.

The summit served as a clarion call to all citizens that the security of the State is not merely a tactical effort but a spiritual covenant, and it concluded with a renewed appeal for citizens to rise above fear, division, and political hostility, and to embrace unity, peace, and national development.
