“Angela Okorie Pays Tribute to Late Actor Mr Ibu: ‘There Will Never Be Another You'”

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has expressed her heartfelt sentiments about the late veteran actor, Mr Ibu, emphasizing that his unique talent and persona can never be replaced.

Taking to her Instagram page, Angela shared a video of herself and the late actor on a movie set, reminiscing about their time together. She praised Mr Ibu’s unmatched acting skills, describing him as a detailed actor with impeccable delivery.

In her tribute, Angela highlighted Mr Ibu’s innate ability to bring joy and laughter to people, even without uttering a word. She recalled how his mere presence on set was enough to evoke laughter and create a lighthearted atmosphere.

Angela bid farewell to the late actor, acknowledging his significant impact on the Nigerian film industry. She assured him that he would be deeply missed but never forgotten.

In her words: “There will never be another Mr Ibu chai. His delivery on set was 💯 A detailed actor 🙌 His acting skills are inherent. If you saw Mr Ibu in real life, you’d just start laughing before he says anything. On this set, I just kept laughing uncontrollably. The world will miss you, and you will never be forgotten. Chai, rest in power, Odogwu Nwoke. You died a strong man.”

Mr Ibu’s passing, announced on Saturday, March 2nd, came after a prolonged battle with illness, according to reports. The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed that the actor passed away from cardiac arrest.

The news of Mr Ibu’s demise saddened many in the industry, including media personality Dotun, who described the day as extremely somber. He paid tribute to Mr Ibu and Sisi Quadri, acknowledging their irreplaceable roles in the entertainment scene.

Fellow actors Charles Awurum and Victor Osuagwu shared their grief over the loss, recalling their fond memories of working with Mr Ibu. Despite their sorrow, they expressed gratitude for his comedic genius and the legacy he leaves behind.
