The All Progressives Congress (APC) has elected a new set of national officers at its 4th Elective National Convention held at Eagle Square, Abuja.
Nentawe Yilwatda emerged as National Chairman, while Surajudeen Basiru was elected National Secretary. Their emergence, along with other officials, was announced by the convention election committee following a consensus arrangement.
Other key positions include:
- Deputy National Chairman (North): Ali Bukar Dalori
- Deputy National Chairman (South): Benjamin Obi Nwoye
- Deputy National Secretary: AbdulKarim Abubakar Kana
- National Legal Adviser: Murtala Aliyu Kankia
- National Treasurer: Uguru Mathew Ofoke
- National Financial Secretary: Haruna Ginsau
- National Organising Secretary: Muhammad Sulaiman Argungu
- National Publicity Secretary: Felix Morka
- National Auditor: Abubakar Maikafi
- National Women Leader: Mary Idele
- National Youth Leader: Dayo Israel
The convention also produced ex-officio members representing the six geopolitical zones.
The event was attended by top party leaders, including Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.
Party delegates from across the country participated in the convention, which produced a new National Working Committee expected to steer the affairs of the APC.
