Arsenal fans are brimming with confidence about winning the English Premier League title after a gripping 2-2 draw against champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. With just five games into the 2024/25 season, supporters feel the London club possesses the potential to end their 20-year title drought.

Last season, the Gunners nearly clinched their first EPL title but fell short by two points, finishing with 89 points to Manchester City’s 91. This season, Mikel Arteta’s squad has kicked off with impressive performances, nearly securing a famous away victory against the champions. However, a last-minute equaliser from John Stones left Arsenal fans heartbroken.

Despite playing over 50 minutes with one player down, Arsenal stood resilient. City dominated possession, registering 28 shots on goal in the second half alone. Bernardo Silva highlighted the competitive dynamic, suggesting Liverpool’s previous successes differ from Arsenal’s experience.

Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh and many Arsenal supporters believe this could finally be their year. Oliseh remarked, “Arsenal deserved the victory over Manchester City,” emphasizing their strong performance.

Fans expressed their excitement on social media, with comments reflecting their pride in the team’s progress. One fan remarked on City’s surprise at facing a determined Arsenal squad, while others noted the ongoing rivalry between the clubs.

As Arsenal fans rallied behind their team, many wonder if this season will finally bring the coveted EPL trophy back to the Emirates Stadium after two decades of anticipation.
