Arsenal‘s young sensation Ethan Nwaneri has revealed one key attribute he admires about teammate Gabriel Martinelli: his remarkable speed.
In a video shared on Arsenal’s official X account, the 17-year-old midfielder responded to fan questions alongside teammate Myles Lewis-Skelly. When asked which teammate’s quality he’d like to adopt, Nwaneri didn’t hesitate:
“I’d take Martinelli’s speed. I’d be fake with that.”
Nwaneri, who has impressed this season with his football intelligence, dribbling, off-the-ball movement, and goal-scoring prowess, has become a standout player for Arsenal. His performances have earned him eight first-team appearances under Mikel Arteta, where he has already scored three goals.
Despite his rapid rise, Nwaneri acknowledged the challenges of breaking into senior football:
“Yeah, I think it is hard, but you get used to it quick. At the end of the day, it’s good.”
The talented midfielder also revealed lighter moments from the Arsenal dressing room, naming Ayden Heaven as the funniest player in the squad.
Beyond football, Nwaneri is a passionate basketball player, showcasing his diverse sporting skills. As one of Arsenal’s brightest prospects, he continues to work on enhancing his game, with Martinelli’s speed high on his wishlist.
