BBNaija Winner Phyna Claims No Man Has Splurged Money on Her in Relationships

By Daniel Edu

Josephina Otabor, widely known as Phyna and the winner of Big Brother Naija’s ‘Level Up’ edition, asserted that she has never experienced a situation where a man lavished money on her in a relationship. Phyna, who caused a stir in January by revealing on her podcast, Spill With Phyna, that she turned down a N5 million offer for sex, reiterated her stance in a recent interview with Naija FM, Lagos.

During the interview, Phyna explained that she declined the N5 million offer from a male fan because she does not engage in transactional relationships or “runs.” She emphasized her preference for genuine connections over material benefits in her relationships.

The reality TV star went on to claim that she has never dated a man who was wealthier than her, even before gaining fame through Big Brother Naija. Phyna asserted that she has always been financially independent and has actively supported her past relationships.

Phyna stated, “I have never dated a man who is richer than me. Even before I won the Big Brother Naija show, I didn’t date any rich guy. I have always been hardworking even while in school. In my previous relationships, I have always been the one supporting financially. No man has really lavished money on me in a relationship.”
