By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

On Monday, Borno State Deputy Governor Umar Usman Kadafur oversaw the swearing-in of Alh Dauda Iliya as the newly appointed Media Adviser to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum. The ceremony took place in the deputy governor’s conference hall.

In addition to Iliya, several other appointees were sworn in, including Alh Hassan Zanna Boguma, Ali Umar Bolori, Hon Abatcha Ma’aji, and Bukar Lawan Ngamdu. The Chief Judge of Borno, Kashim Zannah, represented by Justice Umar Bukar Malgwi, administered the oath of office.

Addressing the appointees, Kadafur emphasized the importance of their commitment to the state. He urged them to contribute to Borno’s 25-Year Development Plan and the 10-Year Strategic Transformation Plan outlined by Governor Zulum.

Speaking on behalf of the new appointees, Alh Dauda Iliya assured the deputy governor that they would justify the confidence placed in them. The event also saw attendance from various officials, including the Secretary to Borno State Government, Alhaji Bukar Tijani, Head of Service Barrister Mallam Fannami, and other senior government officials, alongside family and associates of the appointees.
