BREAKING: Kevin De Bruyne Confirms Manchester City Departure

Kevin De Bruyne has officially announced that he will leave Manchester City at the end of the season, bringing an end to his remarkable decade-long tenure at the club.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media Friday, the Belgian midfielder revealed that these will be his final months at the Etihad Stadium.

“Nothing about this is easy to write, but as football players, we all know this day eventually comes. That day is here—and you deserve to hear it from me first,” De Bruyne wrote.

Reflecting on his journey in Manchester, he credited the city and its people for shaping his life.

“Football brought me here, but I never imagined how much this place would change me. This city, this club, these people—they gave me everything. I had no choice but to give everything back.”

The 33-year-old, who joined City from Wolfsburg in 2015, has been a pivotal figure in the club’s golden era, winning every major trophy.

“And guess what—we won EVERYTHING,” he added, highlighting his success at the club.

De Bruyne also expressed deep gratitude to the Manchester community, emphasizing its lasting impact on his family.

“Suri, Rome, Mason, Michèle, and I are beyond grateful for what this place has meant to us. ‘Manchester’ will always be in our hearts—and on our kids’ passports. This will forever be our HOME.”

He extended his thanks to the club, teammates, staff, and fans for what he called “the best chapter” of his career.

“We cannot thank the city, club, staff, teammates, friends, and family enough for this 10-year ride. Every story has an end, but this has definitely been the best chapter.”

Closing his message, De Bruyne encouraged fans to savor the remaining moments of his City career.

“Let’s enjoy these last moments together!” he wrote.

The playmaker, who wears the number 17 shirt, remains an integral part of City’s squad as they chase more silverware in his final season.
