Chess: Tunde Onakoya undefeated after 20 hours, gets over $26K donations

Chess champion Tunde Onakoya remained undefeated after an impressive 20-hour marathon during his Guinness World Record attempt, showcasing his exceptional skills.

Onakoya, the founder of the Chess in Slum Initiative Africa, started his record-breaking endeavor on April 17. He emerged victorious against all opponents, including New York’s National Chess Master, Shawn Martinez.

Throughout the event, Onakoya provided regular updates on X and expressed his appreciation for the overwhelming support. He has received over $26,060 (more than N30 million) in donations during his 58-hour chess marathon in Times Square, New York City, which is being broadcast live via Tiltify.
