Court remands 7 cultists in Kwara

magistrate court in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, has remanded seven suspected secret cult members for allegedly killing one Ajibiye Ridwan in the Malete area of Moro council of the state.

Police said some members of Buccaneers and Eiye confraternities engaged in a violent street fight in Malete, killing Ridwan.

Preliminary investigations led to the arrest of Victor Chimezie Okpara, Zubair Aliyu Babatunde, Samu Soduq over the incident.

The prosecutor, Moshood Agboola, prayed the court to order the remand of the suspects, saying their alleged offence is culpable homicide which is not admissible to bail.

Magistrate AO Adeniyi adjourned the matter to February 24.
