Court Sentences Suspended ASP to Death for Murder of Lagos-Based Lawyer

In a significant development, the Lagos High Court, located at the Tafawa Balewa Square on Lagos Island, has sentenced suspended Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Drambi Vandi, to death by hanging for the murder of Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem.

The verdict was delivered by Justice Ibironke Harrison, who found ASP Drambi Vandi guilty of the murder, which claimed the life of the pregnant lawyer. Justice Harrison concluded that the prosecution had successfully proven its case beyond reasonable doubt.

Furthermore, the judge emphasized that the convict had shot the deceased at close range, which played a crucial role in the court’s decision.
