In an interview on Biola Bayo’s show, “Talk to B,” Olatunji revealed that many attacks on celebrities originate from within the industry, with colleagues using anonymous accounts to troll and undermine one another.
Olatunji expressed his concerns about the lack of genuine love and support among actors. He highlighted how many in the industry pretend to care for each other while secretly fostering negativity.
He advised aspiring actors to develop resilience to navigate the harsh realities of the entertainment world. “If you are coming into the space of the entertainment industry, you need to have what is called a shock absorber,” he said.
Olatunji described the industry’s superficial camaraderie, stating, “We do parties, we gather to celebrate, and we smile and laugh at each other, but deep down, we don’t truly love each other. The pages that troll you are faceless; I think they are from the industry. Why do we have this unhealthy competition? Why do you think bringing someone down will make you rise?”
He emphasized his personal commitment to focusing on his own journey and avoiding competition or negativity. “One thing I don’t do is compete with anybody. I try as much as possible to run my race at my own pace,” he added.
