Dancer Korra Obidi Reflects on Strict Upbringing in Deeper Life Church

Nigerian-American dancer, Korra Obidi, shared insights into her conservative upbringing in Deeper Life Church during an interview with News Central. She disclosed that she grew up in a strict religious environment, mentioning that she didn’t have ear piercings until the age of 14. Reflecting on her family’s conservative nature, Obidi expressed how her upbringing influenced her choices and the transformation she underwent, joking about having piercings in unexpected places.

Furthermore, Obidi addressed her admission of cheating on her ex-husband, Justin Dean, in her book. She emphasized the importance of being open and honest, noting that revealing her truth led to revelations on both sides. Despite facing criticism, she stands by her decision, stating that living with secrets is not a path she wants to follow.

In March 2022, Justin Dean filed for divorce from Korra Obidi shortly after the birth of their second child. The divorce proceedings played out publicly on social media. However, the divorce was finalized in November 2022, with joint custody granted for their two daughters. Korra remains committed to moving forward in peace for the well-being of their children.

Recently, Korra Obidi shared a heartbroken moment online, revealing that her application for US citizenship had been denied. Many speculated that the denial might be linked to her public divorce and marital drama.
