A video from Davido’s wedding captures the singer requesting Bitcoin as wedding gifts from guests who prefer not to give cash.
During the ceremony, the musician informed his hundreds of guests about the types of currency he accepts.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the MC of the occasion, informed the attendees that they accept pounds, euros, and dollars.
Davido then took the microphone and added that he also accepts Bitcoin transfers as wedding gifts. He emphasized that he doesn’t want any promises of cash to be sent later, urging guests to transfer Bitcoin directly to his wallet.
“I’m accepting Bitcoin as a gift if you can’t spray naira and I no want OBO I go give you tomorrow, I no want that one,” he said.
