Don’t Spray Money or You’ll Become Kirikiri Landlord, Bobrisky Says After Release from Prison

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has been released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre after serving a six-month sentence for abusing the naira by spraying it at parties.

In an interview with GoldMyneTV following his release on Monday, Bobrisky offered a cautionary message to the public: “Follow the rules, abide with the law. Don’t spray money, unless you’ll be a landlord inside kirikiri.” He elaborated, “It’s not just about killing or any criminal activity; something light like this can take you there.”

Bobrisky expressed his gratitude towards his friends who supported him during his incarceration and emphasized that he is focusing on those who stood by him. “I’m only focusing on my friends who were there for me, and I’m grateful. I’m not thinking about any other person,” he said.

In April 2024, Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison for the misuse of naira. At his court hearing, he pleaded for leniency, saying, “My Lord, I wish that you could give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money. I would do a video on my page and I will educate people about spraying money. I will not repeat this, My Lord. I regret my actions, My Lord.”

The court had taken his request into consideration, but Bobrisky’s release comes after completing his sentence for his actions.
