FCT University of Tech take off, to Decongest College of Education- FCTA

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) through its Education Secretariat has said that the FCT University of Technology take off is to decongest the FCT College of Education, Zuba.

The newly inaugurated Mandate Secretary of Education Secretariat, Dr Danlami Hayyo, disclosed this Thursday in Abuja at the FCT College of Education Zuba, during the inauguration of Deans, Appointment of Directors, HODs, Chairmen and Members of Standing Committee/Presentation of Award and Welfare Ceremony.

Hayyo said,” One of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda is education and this is why the FCTA Education Secretariat, through the intervention of our Minister , Barr Nyesom Wike is prioritizing education.”

” We have to create another tertiary education in the nation’s capital to decongest the population in the FCT College of Education, Zuba.”

Hayyo promised to ensure improved funding for the facilities and capacity building of staff of the institution.

The Provost of FCT College of Education, Zuba, Dr Sule Mundi noted that many of the students of the college have contributed to the development of the Nigerian nation.

Mundi said, “Many of our colleagues, here in the FCT College of Education have used your wisdom, experience, kindness, discipline, and compassion to mentor our students, thereby achieving our goal of the saying that each generation has a responsibility to the next generation.

“Today we acknowledge the outstanding efforts of our nominees, applaud their contributions, and be inspired by their dedication and resolve towards their passion.”

” It’s not every day that one
gets to be paraded around and recognized for their hard work and achievements. Whether we’re honoring individuals who have contributed significantly to their professions as teachers, or who have made outstanding contributions to their various units, these awards are a testament to the fact that a united commitment to excellence and determination can lead to success at the highest level.”

“Today’s ceremony also marks a special occasion for all of us, as it gives us an opportunity to inaugurate our newly elected Deans of schools, appoint qualify staff members into various positions as Heads of Department, Directors, and coordinators of units and programmes, Mundi stressed.
