– The 2025 edition marks a major expansion to 32 teams, the largest in the tournament’s history.

2. Teams Participating
Thirty-two clubs from around the world will compete:
– Europe (12 teams): Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Porto, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Atlético Madrid, RB Salzburg.

– Oceania (1 team): Auckland City.
– Host Nation (1 team): Inter Miami.

3. Venues
Twelve U.S. stadiums will host the tournament’s 63 matches:
– Opening Game: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, Florida.
– Final Match: MetLife Stadium, New Jersey/New York.

– TQL Stadium (Cincinnati, OH)

– The tournament adopts a format similar to the FIFA World Cup (1998–2022).
– Group Stage: 32 teams split into eight groups of four.
– Knockout Rounds: Top two teams from each group advance to the Round of 16, followed by single-elimination matches until the final.
– No Third-Place Match: Only the final determines the champion.
