The recent inauguration of Kano Mass transit programme by governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje would boost economy through good transportation and bring an end to underaged tricycle operation in the state.
This was disclosed by some residents in Kano metropolitan in an interview with our correspondent shortly after the inaugural ceremony of 100 Buses and 50 cars that would be used in carrying passengers in the city respectively.
Alhaji Shehu Ahmed from Kano Municipal local government area assured that the buses and cars would replace tricycles especially when the operators who are mostly very young are making driving recklessly without having knowledge about roads rules and regulations.
Similarly, Malam Mahmoud Musa of Nassarawa local government area lamented that” we are happy with this development and I am certain of well managed, the mass transit peogramme would ease transportation in the metropolitan area and reducing the traffic jams being caused by tricycle operators who are mostly kids “. He concluded.
All those who have an interactive session with Daybreak News reiterated that governor Ganduje has done well by providing good roads and means of transportation despites the economic challenges which is a global issue.
