‘He is an impersonator,’ Ooni disowns self-acclaimed son

A spokesperson for the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has stated that the man in a viral video claiming to be the monarch’s son is engaging in impersonation. The palace has taken the matter to security agencies for action. The spokesperson emphasized that Oba Ogunwusi acknowledges all his children and disowns the self-acclaimed prince, urging law enforcement to investigate and bring the perpetrator to justice swiftly. The palace warns against exploiting its revered status for personal gain and reaffirms its commitment to preserving Yoruba cultural heritage.
