Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has shared a heartfelt story of his difficult childhood, revealing the menial jobs he did to survive before his rise to football stardom.
Speaking during a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, the Napoli forward recalled fetching water and cleaning gutters in his neighborhood just to make ends meet.
Osimhen said he would earn as little as N30 to clean gutters filled with Spirogyra, and N80 for fetching water for residents of a nearby face-me-I-face-you building.
In his words:
“There was a building in front of my house — one of those face-me-I-face-you buildings. I used to fetch water for the people upstairs for N80. Most of the time, I would wash gutters when the green things [Spirogyra] were coming out, and they would pay me N30.”
His story has touched many online, with social media users praising his resilience and drawing inspiration from his journey.
