Join APC lose your governorship seat Yari tells Matawalle

From Abba Kabara,  Gusau

Zamfara former governor Hon.  Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has said that  everybody is free to leave his party and join the APC,  yet one  should bear in mind that the supreme court has ruled that “from 2019 to 2023, the APC would not enjoy any position of leadership in the state”.

Disclosing  this today in Zamfara state  capital Gusau while donating 130 trailer load of assorted food stuff for distribution to the public as Ramadan pilatives,  Yari explained that the legal implication is that political office holders from the governor downwards,  must relingush his or her  position in the event of defction to the APC”,  he said.
Speaking through a spokesman Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa,  the estwhile governor further explained that the ristricted position include governorship,  senators,  Reps,  and all other political posts.

Yari however debunked the speculations that he and his associates will quit the party if the existing PDP governor Bello Matawalle dumps his party for the APC,  stressing the assurance that nobody will leave the party simply because a decampee has decided to choose APC as his choice for soft landing.

“We are ready to receive any body into the party,  but he should not come as an authority in the party”,  adding that once a decampee joins the party,  he must,  like any othe party member,  “toil hard to make his political fortune”,  he concluded.
