Kaduna Labour Party Backs Nenadi Usman as New Caretaker Chairperson

By   Milcah   Tanimu

The Labour Party chapter in Kaduna State’s Kagarko LGA has celebrated Nenadi Usman’s appointment as the chairperson of the party’s National Caretaker Committee. This comes after the tenure of the previous National Working Committee (NWC) led by Julius Abure.

The chairman of the Kagarko LGA Labour Party, Zaphaniah Yohanna, issued a statement praising Usman’s new role. He highlighted Usman’s significant contributions to the party’s growth both locally and nationally, particularly during the 2023 general elections.

“Usman’s track record of dedication, integrity, and political expertise makes her well-suited to lead the Labour Party. We are confident in her ability to organize inclusive and comprehensive congresses at all levels,” Yohanna said.

Local party members have expressed their full support for Usman, recognizing her commitment to the party’s advancement. Yohanna also extended gratitude to former leaders and stakeholders, including Governor Alex Otti and party leader Peter Obi, for their roles in stabilizing the party.

However, it should be noted that Julius Abure has contested Usman’s appointment, claiming he remains the national chairman of the party.

The Kaduna Labour Party calls on all members and leaders to support Usman’s leadership as she undertakes the challenge of repositioning the party.
