A new Head Coach for the Lobi Stars Football Club, Makurdi has been appointed. He is Mr Baba Ganaru.
A statement by the Lobi Stars Media Officer, Mr Uja Emmanuel, says Ganaru, worked with many Nigerian Professional Football Clubs in the country, including Kano Pillars El’kanemi of Maiduguri, Yobe Desert Stars as well as Wikki Tourists of Bauchi among others.
He contended that Coach Ganaru has since assumed duty ahead second stanza of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, which will see Lobi play host to Rangers International Football Club of Enugu at the Aper Aku stadium, Makurdi Benue State.
According to the Media Officer, Coach Ganaru has already swung into action as he commenced training.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman of the club, Mr Dominic Iorfa shall unveil the new Head Coach before members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Benue State, supporters of the club among other stakeholders inside the main bowl of the Aper Aku stadium, Makurdi next week.
He averred that, the Chairman of the club who is the Deputy Governor of Benue State, Engr Benson Abounu has been notified of the appointment of the new Head Coach.
Meanwhile, massive renovation work has commenced at the McCarthy Stadium Wadata, Makurdi where players of the club are to be accommodated. Ends
