Military has no excuse not to secure Nigeria — Air Chief

Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, emphasized the military’s responsibility to secure Nigeria, citing President Bola Tinubu’s provision of necessary equipment and resources. With a budget allocation of N3.2tn for defense and security in 2024, observers assert that security agencies have the means to fulfill their mandates. Abubakar urged troops to continue their efforts against criminal elements, ensuring citizens’ confidence in going about their activities without fear. He emphasized sustaining operations and called on Nigerians to support the military while expressing gratitude for fallen heroes. The Air Chief emphasized the nation’s commitment to restoring peace and tranquility, acknowledging the sacrifices made by the fallen heroes. Abubakar advised troops to honor the fallen by maintaining joint air, ground, and maritime strikes against various threats to national security.
