Olojongbodu OPC led team apprehends some suspected herdsmen in Osun

Numbers of Fulani herdsmen troubling some areas of Osun State have been arrested by members of Oodua Peoples’ Congress, OPC on Monday.

According to the State leader of the OPC, Alhaji Leke Akintayo Olojongbodu while addressing newsmen about the development, the suspects were arrested along Oke-Osun area coming to Osogbo the state capital via the state House of Assembly.

Olojongbodu who is the leader of Chief Fredrick Fasheun led OPC group in the state commended the farmers who passed the information across to them which led to the arrest of the herdsmen by his men.

The OPC leader used the medium to admonished the entire residents of the state to always cooperate with the security personnel by reporting any criminal activities in their various communities in order to ensure complete security of life and property saying the issue of security is a group work as the security personnel cannot do it alone without the residents unflinching support.

Olojongbodu, assured that his team would not relent in collaborating with other security agencies in the state in order to have an adequate Osun crisis free.

He however commended Governor Gboyega Oyeyola of the state for his complete support towards protection of life and property saying Mr Governor is doing well on this.

Meanwhile, the arrested herdsmen suspect have been handed over to the Osun State Police Command for further investigation.
