Olukoyi Lauds Gov Oyetola over appointment of indigenes.

The Olukoyi of Ikoyi land in Isokan South Local Council Development Area of Osun State, HRM Oba Yisau Bantale Oyetunji Otunla, Kodaolu 1 has commended the state governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola over the appointment of indigenes of the ancient Ikoyi community into different positions in the State.

The Olukoyi made this commendation in a press statement signed and made available to journalists in his Palace on Thursday.

According to the traditional ruler, “On behalf of my people in Ikoyiland, I want to show my profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Alhaji Isiaq Adegboyega Oyetola for the magnitude of his benevolence in the appointment of indigenes of my town Ikoyi, into different positions in the State.

“The people of Ikoyi both home and in diaspora are happy and proud to identify with a profoundly good man, a kindhearted and selfless leader, a man of peace and compassion, a man that history has already vindicated, a charismatic and a remarkable goal getter, a man of taciturnity like you whom many have described variously as a man of purpose and foresight, a man who have silently and successfully inspired youth and humanity, a mentor for all, a dynamic Nigerian and an advocates for peace and justice, a revolutionary politician as well as consummate administrator, and above all, a God fearing person.

“Indeed you are a blessing to the good people of Osun State in particular and Nigeria as a whole”.

Oba Otunla, who described the appointment of indigenes of Ikoyi community as a round peg in a round hole prayed God to continue to guide Mr Governor and grant the state abundant peace.

The Olukoyi, also pledged support and loyalty of the people of the community to the incumbent administration in the state while tasked the newly appointed indigenes to live up to people’s expectations and not to betray the confidence reposed in them.

The Olukoyi further urged the new appointees to see their appointment as a call to duty, saying that people’s expectations are high.

The Monarch added that, “You should see this as a call to duty and opportunity to contribute to the growth of our dear state. Your appointment is a huge investment of trust by Mr Governor and this must never be betrayed”.

“Your Excellency Sir, pondering on your action towards my community, we shall work assiduously for your re-election come July 16th 2022” Olukoyi concluded.
