Orlando Pirates Confirm Defender Ndah Out Until 2025 Due to Injury

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Orlando Pirates confirmed that defender Olisa Ndah will not return to action until 2025 due to a serious injury. The club announced on their official website that Ndah will miss the upcoming Carling Black Label Cup opener against Magesi FC on Saturday.

His injury prevents him from joining the Super Eagles for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin’s Cheetahs and Rwanda’s Wasps in November 2024. He also could not play in the recent AFCON qualifier against the Mediterranean Knights.

Ndah suffered a tibia fracture during a Premiership clash with Polokwane City on September 24. Since then, he has missed several crucial matches, including the MTN8 final against Stellenbosch FC.

The 26-year-old central defender had been vital to the team, playing in nine matches across all competitions and scoring one goal before his injury. He joined Orlando Pirates in the summer of 2021 after helping Akwa United secure the league title.
