Paul Pogba’s time at Manchester United is ‘over’, says agent

Must read

Paul Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has said that his client’s time at Manchester United is ‘over’.

The Frenchman joined the club for a then-world record £89m deal in 2016 but he’s been consistently linked with an exit in the last three years.

Pogba’s current deal was due to expire at the end of the season but United took up their option of extending it by a further 12 months, meaning the Frenchman is tied to the club until 2022.

However, Metro.co.uk revealed Pogba’s representatives were angered by United’s refusal to sit down for contract negotiations before they activated their extension clause.

And Raiola has appeared to confirm the anger on the player’s side by claiming Pogba’s time at Old Trafford is ‘over’.

I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United,’ Raiola told Tuttosport.

The agent’s full interview is set to be released on Tuesday, on the eve of United’s crucial Champions League game against RB Leipzig.

Pogba had been keen to stay at Old Trafford after returning from injury in July following the pandemic.

However, he’s struggled for form and fitness this term and he openly admitted his ‘dream’ to join Real Madrid during the last international break
