Rafael Leao Warns Teammates: Victor Boniface Is Dangerous

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Portugal and AC Milan winger Rafael Leao has warned his teammates about the threat posed by Victor Boniface. Leao, one of the top wingers in Serie A, won the Scudetto in 2022.

Ahead of their clash against Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen, Leao urged his teammates to be cautious. “Yeah, I know him; he’s teammates with Chukwueze on the Nigerian national team. He talked about him this week. Boniface is very technical and fast, and we know we need to watch out for him. We must also respect the entire team because their center-backs and full-backs, like Frimpong and Grimaldo, play very well. It’ll be a difficult game. Of course, we respect Boniface’s ability, but I believe we’re prepared to face him,” the 25-year-old said, as reported by OmaSports TV.

Boniface has excelled for Leverkusen this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in five Bundesliga matches. Currently, Alonso’s men sit second in the Bundesliga, while Milan ranks third in Serie A, just two points behind Napoli.

The match will take place at the BayArena in Germany, with kick-off scheduled for 8:00 PM West African time.
