Sanusi hails ANFASSC

By Mike Oboh

The General Secretary, Nigeria Football Federation, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi has applauded the significant contributions of the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters’ Club (ANFASSC) in rendering qualitative support to all the Nigeria national teams.

ANFASSC through its president, Abayomi Ogunjimi mobilised over 500 supporters club members to Cameroon to give unbridled support to the Super Eagles at the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations before the team narrowly lost 1-0 to the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the second round.

Sanusi who made this known while delivering the vote of thanks during the breakfast organised for the Super Eagles by the Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare on Tuesday morning noted that ANFASSC members were decisive and total in their offering their support to the Eagles in Cameroon and he enjoined them not to relent as all attention now shift to the 2022 World Cup playoffs against the Black Stars of Ghana in March.

Ogunjimi who was also in attendance at the breakfast for the Eagles which had the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele and other prominent Nigerians told journalists that the endorsement given to ANFASSC by the NFF General Secretary is a true reflection that the supporters club is not in competition with anyone and that it ginger them to do more.

He said the public endorsement will make ANFASSC to continue to grow from strength to strength with the sole aim of always being at the forefront of offering support to all the national teams.
