SOKOTO: APC Inaugurates 108 Governorship Transition Member Committee

Inaugurating the Committee members, the governor elect, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto said it is a critical day towards ensuring smooth handing over from the ruling government to elected government.

He said the task before the transition committee is a heavy one with members with verse experience and pedigree of work.

“In line with approval and letter of reference you are expected to develop a clear and smooth take over, you are also expected to carry out detailed analysis and provide preliminary of handing over report from the outgoing administration.

“You are also expected to look at the nine point agenda policy which include security, religious affairs, education, water supply, agriculture, health care delivery, local government autonomy and women and youths empowerment among others”, enumerated the governor elect.

Accordingly, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto called on them to set reference recommendation of handing over report and analyze

He said the committee is essentially aimed at obtaining facts that are necessary for the smooth running of the incoming administration. He then promised all it takes for Sokoto people to enjoy what democracy is all about.

Earlier,the party chairman, Isah Sadiq Achida in his welcome address informed the gathering that APC will restore what is lost from the outgoing administration.

He they are going to operate an open door policy so as to provide yearnings of the electorates.
