The Commissioner of Police deployed for the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections in Sokoto State CP Shettima Zanna, appreciated all critical stakeholders in the state for the peaceful disposition and spirit of sportsmanship exhibited during the polls.
The statement by DSP Sanusi Abubakar said the CP equally applauded the cooperation and operational support provided by the heads of Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) in support of the police to provide the desired security deployment before, during and currently in the post election period. He commends the officers and men of the Sokoto State Police Command for their professionalism and neutrality during the election.
CP finally thanked the Inspector-General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba for the confidence reposed on him in delivering this mandate. Enjoin the good people of Sokoto State to keep calm and be law abiding.
