Philip Agbese, a member of the House of Representatives, has praised President Bola Tinubu and Speaker Tajudeen Abbas for their patriotism and leadership, noting that their efforts have elevated Nigeria’s standing in global affairs.
Agbese made these remarks on Monday during the Pan-African Parliament’s Extraordinary session in Midrand, South Africa. As a delegate at the conference, he highlighted President Tinubu’s outstanding leadership within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and his advocacy for human rights and the rule of law.
According to Agbese, Tinubu’s dedication to these principles has reinforced Nigeria’s position as a beacon of hope and a key player in both regional and international politics.
“President Tinubu’s vision for a prosperous and united Africa is inspiring, and his leadership has earned Nigeria significant respect globally,” Agbese said. He emphasized the president’s unwavering commitment to African development and integration, which is increasingly influencing the continent.
The lawmaker also commended Speaker Abbas for his transformative approach to governance, which he said is inspiring a new generation of African leaders and driving progress across the continent. Abbas’ work, according to Agbese, has strengthened cooperation and development in Africa while promoting peace, security, and a unified economic recovery strategy.
Agbese further noted that the objectives of the Pan-African Parliament align closely with the vision of both Tinubu and Abbas, whose leadership has been crucial in shaping Nigeria’s role on the global stage. He pledged his support in working with them to achieve shared goals for a better Nigeria and Africa, while urging other African nations to back Nigeria’s leadership in advancing continental development and unity.
