‘Together Always’: Lookman Shares Photo With Osimhen After Mozambique Win

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has shared photos of himself with teammates Victor Osimhen and Bruno Onyemaechi following Nigeria’s victory over Mozambique at the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 on Monday.

Lookman posted the images on his official Instagram page on Tuesday, captioning them simply: “TOGETHER ALWAYS.”

The post comes amid reactions from fans who criticised Osimhen over his angry gestures toward Lookman during the match. However, Lookman has dismissed any suggestion of a rift between the two attackers.

Speaking after the game, the winger played down the incident, stressing that there is no bad blood between them. “It’s just football. It’s always football. He is my brother,” Lookman said.

Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi also addressed the situation, insisting there was no issue within the team. He explained that the moment was driven by shared competitiveness and the desire to win, rather than any personal disagreement.

Nigeria’s emphatic win over Mozambique secured their place in the AFCON quarter-finals, with team unity remaining firmly intact despite on-field emotions.
