Egyptian football giants Al Ahly are reportedly targeting Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho during the January transfer window. Iheanacho, who moved to La Liga side Sevilla on a free transfer just six months ago, has struggled to make an impact, failing to score or provide an assist in nine league appearances. As a result, the 28-year-old is seeking a move away from Sevilla, and despite his challenges, interest in him has grown from clubs across England, Greece, Turkey, and the USA.
Al Ahly are now said to be considering Iheanacho as a potential replacement for South African forward Percy Tau, offering the striker an opportunity to revive his career. Sevilla is reportedly open to facilitating a loan move for Iheanacho, with an option for the loaning club to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.
In another transfer development, Belgian Pro League champions Club Brugge are ready to sell Nigerian international Raphael Onyedika this month for €20 million. Despite rejecting a summer bid from Galatasaray, the club has since seen increased interest from English and Spanish teams. Onyedika has been in impressive form under coach Nicky Hayen this season, with standout performances in the UEFA Champions League further boosting his profile.
Having joined Club Brugge from Danish side FC Midtjylland for €9 million three years ago, Onyedika is now poised to make a significant move in his career.
