Two Confirmed Dead, One Arrested As Benue Police Dislodge Kidnappers, Bandits

In its efforts to flush out bandits and kidnapers terrorizing Benue Communities, the Benue Police Command have dislodged bandits and kidnapers at De-Mtsa community in Michihe Council Ward of Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

According to a press statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Sewuese Anene, a team of Operation Zenda was deployed to the area upon getting information about regrouping of the bandits where Police team arrested one of the gang members, two confirmed dead at hospital, while several others escaped with wounds after engaging the operatives in a gun duel.

Exhibits recovered from the scene of the incident include; one (1) Type 06 rifle, three (3) AK-47 magazines loaded with 7.6mm ammunition, eighty other ammunition, camouflage uniforms and assorted phones.

Commissioner of Police CP Emmanuel Adesina, who commended the team for bravery, Implored them to keep up the good work, stressing that taking the war to the criminals is the better approach to fight crimes.

CP Adesina, enjoined people of Benue State to ensure they support the Police by giving them useful and timely information to enable the operatives continue to tackle criminality in the state.
